Alicia Kolen, SLP - Lead SLP

Alicia graduated in 2000 with her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She attended graduate school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she graduated in 2002 earning a Master’s Degree in Communications Disorders. Following graduation, Alicia worked with preschool to high school aged students at a school for children with developmental disabilities. From there, she worked in the Skilled Nursing setting for twelve years focusing on adults with various conditions. During that time, she also worked afterschool with children. She was Rehab director for 11 of those years managing a therapy department while treating her patients. Most recently she worked at an outpatient facility in Dallas targeting clients of all ages.

Alicia recently moved to the area due to her husband’s work and is enjoying the friendly Texas hospitality. Alicia enjoys working with clients of all ages and abilities and loves to celebrate both small and large gains. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, anything arts and crafts and chauffeuring her daughter who is involved in competitive swimming and gymnastics.
