Aunza Shenwari, SLP
Aunza Shenwari, MA, CF-SLP, graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Houston. Aunza has experience working with pediatric and adult clients across a variety of settings, including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics.
She completed graduate clinical training at TIRR Memorial Hermann and Houston Methodist Sugar Land, where she worked with medically complex patients, both adults and pediatrics. She conducted bedside swallow evaluations, Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS), cognitive-communication assessments, and play and sensory based speech therapy services. Aunza has a special interest in language based intervention, neuroaffirming sensory-based speech therapy, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including devices such as Dynavox and Lingraphica. She is passionate about helping children and adults build meaningful communication skills across all environments. In her free time, Aunza enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her large family, including her five siblings, six nieces and nephews, and cat.
