Laura Y. Johnson, BS, SLPA

Laura started working at Speech Therapy Plus in August 2024. She is originally from southern California. Laura moved to Texas in 2015 and graduated from University of Houston in December of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Studies. She traveled abroad and lived in Spain from 2020-2023, where she taught English to school-aged children ages 3-12. She loves working with children and helping them reach their goals. After teaching abroad, she returned to the States and got her license as an SLPA. She is currently enrolled in an online SLPA certification program in Texas Woman's University and will finish in December of 2024.

Laura became passionate about speech because of having a speech delay herself when she was a child. She wishes to help children with their speech because of her own experience. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
