Kara Beckmeyer, SLPA

Kara attended Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA), where she played volleyball and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in non-teaching Special Education in 2019. She completed her clinical hours in both a private practice and a school, prior to beginning her career in the home-health setting. She began working for Speech Therapy Plus in 2022.

Kara enjoys working with children of all ages and various disabilities, but discovered her niche working with individuals with ASD. She finds it extremely rewarding to see the world from a different perspective, and determining the most functional way of communication between clients, parents and other professionals is very fulfilling.

In her free time, Kara is often on the road with her husband and dog, spending weekends at the ranch and/or on the coast.
