Emily Clarite, OTR

Emily Clarite, originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Emily graduated in 1997 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Emily remained in Mobile until 2001 when she moved back to her home town of Gulfport, Mississippi. In August 2010, Emily relocated to Richmond, Texas with her husband and two children. For over 24+ years, Emily has worked with a variety of age groups in several settings including inpatient rehab; acute care hospital including services for medical/surgical floors, ICU, locked and unlocked psychiatric units and alcohol and drug rehab; outpatient services; long term care in both assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Emily has supervised and trained occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant students during their fieldwork assignments and worked as a Director of Rehabilitation for a therapy department in skilled nursing facilities. For 10 of these years, Emily worked in home health care. She earned the Heart of Home Care award while working for Deaconess Home Health in Biloxi, Mississippi. Emily also has experience with vision rehab and low vision training.
