Lyndsey Owens

In 2011 I started my therapy career when I began working at a skilled nursing facility as a rehab tech. It is there that I fell in love with the idea that I could help someone heal. I began formal occupational therapy education with Lone Star College in Tomball in August of 2013. While completing my fieldwork I trained at a children’s sensory clinic. The experience at this clinic is where I learned that I would be most effective with kiddos and have since focused my therapy career exclusively with children. I have worked in a variety of settings from private clinic, home health, and the public school system, but I prefer a private clinic. I have experience with a wide variety of childhood challenges, some of which include; sensory integration and regulation, autism, down syndrome and other chromosomal deletions, handwriting functionality, and developmental delays.

I am a local Pecan Grove resident and I enjoy spending my free time doing day trips with my husband Andy, and our Velcro Vizsla Larry, (our dog). I am an avid modern quilter and enjoy collecting fabric as much as I like the process of sewing. I am so excited to be working with Speech Therapy Plus, and look forward to helping your child achieve all of their goals.
