Jena Talbert

Jena Talbert relocated to Texas from Louisiana in January of 2016. In 2008, she graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then continued her education at SLU and earned her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2011.

During graduate school, Jena did 3 clinical rotations. The first of which was in the public school system working with children ages 3-6, specializing in articulation and language delays. Her second clinical rotation was at a local Long-Term Acute Care hospital where she gained thorough experience in evaluation, remediation, and stabilization of dysphagia and cognition of mainly an adult and geriatric population. Lastly, she finished up her clinical rotations at Neurological Rehab Living Centers - Louisiana, a residential facility for patients who had acquired traumatic brain injuries.

After graduation, Jena accepted a job with St. Tammany Parish School System in Louisiana with a caseload that ranged in age from 3-15. She provided therapy in the school setting for a total of 4 years. Also, after completing her Certificate of Clinical Competence (2012), she was asked to come back to work at the L-TAC where she had done a clinical rotation. She has maintained PRN status at that facility for the past 4 years.

In her spare time, she likes to relax with her husband, beautiful baby girl, and 2 Goldendoodles. She also enjoys traveling and all things Disney.
