While working in the NICU, she became certified in NOMAS (Neonatal Oral Motor Assessment Scale) and became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) through International Loving Touch Foundation, Inc. She also worked in inpatient, treating a variety of children’s diagnoses in the hospital. In 2011, she transferred within the same hospital to an outpatient satellite facility, continuing to treat children from birth to 21 years of age. While in the outpatient setting, she has been the lead feeding occupational therapist, been the lead OT for contract NICU services, and had been the OT in charge of aquatic therapy. Heather has supervised Level 2 students in both the inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings.
